The Sonic Apothecary
Think of it like an herbal apothecary: much like an herbalist would select and mix herbs for you and recommend a protocol, I’ll be doing the same, but with sound and music.
After an initial meeting, I’ll select the sounds and instruments that will best suit your present experience, and create a unique recording for you. We’ll have a session where we listen together, track and relate to what arises, develop a protocol for you to explore on your own. In follow-up session we’ll explore what came into your awareness during your solo listenings: emotions, sensations, memories, stories, and recurring or intrusive thoughts. Together we’ll address them together through a framework of somatic experiencing and hypnosis.

Who is it for?
This offering can be especially helpful for those who:
are searching for a holistic and novel approach to stress and trauma recovery
experience chronic dissociation and freeze/collapse response
have difficulty accessing sensation or emotion in the body
want to explore a modality that isn’t driven by conscious planning, “willpower”, or cognitive-focused solutions
Why these modalities?
I’ve found that working with sound and music is a powerful way to conjure emotions, sensations, insights, and even memories, and allow us to move deeply into a space of self-relating and self-understanding.
Somatic Experiencing can help give context and understanding to our embodied states, and hypnosis can shed light on our dissociated states. By working with both we can create a holistic image of our experience, and practice fluidity between states.
